Chilli Harvest Time

4 Oct

As autumn eventually arrived this weekend, I thought it was time to harvest my chillies. I’d also had enough of watering them in the greenhouse !
I am however going to attempt to over winter them. All chillies are infact perennials and don’t die after they’ve cropped. I’ve taken internet advice and intend to cut them back hard and keep them in my frost free greenhouse and see how how they do – I’ve nothing to lose !

About half of them have turned red already and the others will do now they’re inside in the warm.
I’ve bunched them all together and they’ll dry nicely beside the Aga.

So now I’m all set up for lots of chilli con carne, Thai green curries, and ‘blow your head off’ Indian curries!!!!

See my previous post on how my chillies have been performing all summer.
