Hellebore Heaven

3 Mar

The weather is still foul here – heavy showers, interspersed with persistent rain !

Not great conditions for gardening, visiting gardens or taking photos.

So thought I would share some photos of my hellebores – a mixed bag of plants, some self sown, nothing that fancy but a welcome sight at this time year.

Sadly they don’t make great cut flowers so I tend to just pinch a few flower heads and float them in a flat bowl where they’ll last for a day of two. Photographing their beautiful subtle patterns is really the best way to appreciate their beauty !
